Team Infinity Replicast Has Wild Card Plans For Valencia 250GP Team Infinity Replicast plans to run another Wild Card 250GP opportunity at the Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana on October 26. Building upon the knowledge gained at the Red Bull Indianapolis GP last week, the team is very excited about having the chance to prove that they can compete with the best 250GP teams in the world at the final race of the 2008 MotoGP season. “Indy was quite an experience for us – we had only a week to secure our bike, plan our logistics, and get up to speed after we received the confirmation for our Wild Card 250GP entry,” said Frank Pate, Team Infinity Replicast owner. “Kyle Ferris ran well in the very wet FP1 and QP1 sessions on Friday, and we rebuilt the engine that night in anticipation of even better laptimes during Saturday’s sessions. Kyle improved in FP2 and was set to secure a good grid spot in QP2, but a reed cage gasket leak dropped our power and we were unable to meet the qualification times. The whole team was gutted, as Kyle could have easily made up the six-tenths gap if we hadn’t run into that mechanical problem. But we’re really looking forward now to running at Valencia, possibly with two riders on 2008 Yamaha TZ250 GP racebikes.” Team Infinity Replicast will welcome back the 2006 USGPRU 250GP National Champion Alex Welsh for the Valencia race; he rode for Team Infinity Replicast when he won the USGPRU title. Welsh is awaiting final confirmation of his Wild Card 250GP application for Valencia right now, and he looks forward to joining the team in Valencia. Team Crew Chief Daniel Jackson will be on board as well, and he will bring his considerable tuning and setup talents to bear on getting the most out of the TZ250 machines and the riders. Team Infinity Replicast would like to personally thank the FIM, Oscar Gallardo and Eva Jirsenska at DORNA, Kevin Crowther at the AMA, and Yamaha for these Wild Card 250GP opportunities. And thanks too to all the fans that love and support this great sport of motorcycle road racing and the two-stroke GP racing motorcycles! Created in 2004 by Frank Pate, Team Infinity Replicast won the 2006 and 2007 USGPRU 250 National Championships. The Team is sponsored by: AdoptaKidRacer.org, JokerRacingProducts.com, RateaRacetrack.com, VP Racing Fuels, PowerStands Racing, MotoLiberty, AccuProducts, RS Cycles and luxeStar VIP. Team Infinity Replicast is actively exploring new racing opportunities in the USA and around the world. Interested partners should contact Scott Rehl at [email protected] to discuss business and sponsorship opportunities.
