Some of his accomplishments include two Supercross championships, a World Supercross championship and he won the inaugural U.S. Open of Supercross. “Huff Daddy” was considered by many to be an indoor specialist. After 14 years of racing professionally, he announced his retirement in 2005. Now he races off road for Monster Energy Kawasaki on a KX450F in the WORCS series, almost the exact opposite of Supercross. The race stands to be one of the biggest ever in motorcycle history and a watershed event for the motorcycle industry. Motorsport history shows that NASCAR really began to take off in America after running its first race at Indy Motor Speedway. The preparation and marketing of this event has been going on for over a year. The marketing team at Indy Motor Speedway has done everything in their power to make this event the biggest motorcycle event of the year. www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com Leslie Porterfield, Fastest Woman in the World on a Motorcycle Leslie broke three world records at Speedweek in Bonneville last week. She had a top speed of 234.197mph on a Turbo Hayabusa and record speed of 232.5mph. Leslie also did 192.9mph on a production CBR1000, and 209mph on a turbo Hayabusa without fairings. She is the first woman to enter the Bonneville 200mph club on a conventional sit-on motorcycle.
