As of September 1, 2008 WERA Motorcycle Roadracing, Inc. is wholly owned by Evelyne Clarke. After 34 years of administrating WERA’s business, Clarke, has paid off two partners and is now the sole owner of the Business. “It has taken me some time to get this accomplished, but it has been a goal of mine to one day own the business I have dedicated my life to “said Clarke. WERA Motorcycle Roadracing has a rich history of being the sanctioning body responsible for the start of many famous careers in motorcycle Roadracing. WERA Motorcycle Roadracing has a Pro-Am Series, Vintage Series and Amateur Series with a mission to sending Future Stars to the Big Leagues. In September WERA will be mailing invitations to the Grand National Finals presented by Lockhart-Philips. The event is on October 8 through 12 at Road Atlanta in Georgia. Also in September will be the last chance qualifiers for the GNF. On September 20/21 Pirelli WERA Sportsman at Summit Point and also on the 19/20/21 Round #8 of the Bridgestone/WERA National Endurance and Michelin/WERA National Sprints at Barber Motorsports Park. Then on the following weekend, September 27/28, two Pirelli Sportsman Series events, one at Nelson Ledges in OH, the other at Nashville Superspeedway in TN. Any rider on the cusp of an invitation can go to any of these rounds and accumulate enough points to qualify to post enter at the GNF.
