Midwest Motorsports Festival At Blackhawk Farms Will Award Cash For Race Wins, Fastest Laps

Midwest Motorsports Festival is putting on 2 day event at Blackhawk Farms Oct 11 & 12th in South Beloit, Illinois Ultimate Speed Challenge. This event will include cars, karts, and motorcycles all in their separate sessions. The fastest Car, Kart, and Motorcycle (in their main events) will advance to the Ultimate Speed Challenge for additional purse money. DGY is presenting the motorcycle portion of the event. There is going to be a Pro/Expert Unlimited class (10 lap sprint) with huge cash payouts. We are also doing 3 other Novice classes (no race license required) these are going to be timed sessions also with CASH payouts, prizes and trophies. Novice classes will be a Novice Lightweight Grand Prix, Novice Unlimited Grand Prix, and an all woman’s Unlimited class. This is the first time there is going to be an all Female class in our area. All the Novice classes are going to be timed sessions, so the fastest lap will qualify you for the main event and your fastest lap in the main will determine your finishing position. There is no head to head racing so trackday guys/gals who don’t want to mix it up racing in a full out sprint can just throw down a fast lap in a timed practice session and have bragging rights for the fastest lap. The format is pretty simple for the Novice classes. On Saturday you’ll get 2 rounds of practice and then a timed qualifying session. The Top 10 of the Saturday Qualifying session will advance to the Main Event on Sunday. There will be one round of practice on Sunday and then a LCQ (last chance qualifier) in which the top ten of each qualifying session will advance to their Main Event. The Main Events on Sunday will be 15 min timed sessions. Like an open practice that’s timed. The fastest times of the Main Event will determine your finishing position for the Main and your share of the purse. For the Pro/Expert class the qualifying session on Saturday will determine your grid spot for Sunday’s Main Event. The Main Event will be a 10 lap sprint. The Fastest Motorcycle single lap during their main event will advance to the Ultimate Speed Challenge. Eligibility for the Novice classes, if you have a race license you CAN NOT have an Expert or pro classification in any organization. It is encouraged if you hold a roadrace license to enter the expert/ pro class. If you are a Female who wishes to run in both the Woman’s Unlimited Class and the Novice class you must enter in both classes. EXPERT / PRO CLASS ROAD RACING LICENSE REQUIREMENTS All riders MUST have a valid Race License for 2008 in good standing with their respective race sanctioning body.
