August 15 – Glendora, CA – M Racing’s Dean Mizdal, AMA Pro Superbike Rider #38, is recovering quickly after being involved in the first of a series of crashes during Race One of the Honda Super Cycle Weekend at Mid-Ohio August 3rd. Mizdal was one of several riders who hit oil laid down by Neil Hodgson’s blown engine during lap 7 of Saturday’s race. He was transported by ambulance to Mansfield Hospital, where X-rays revealed a pulmonary contusion (bruised lung), a small fracture in his right wrist, and a severe bruise on his left hand. He was released from the hospital that night. All of Mizdal’s injuries are healing well–so well that the M Racing team is already working to rebuild the superbike in a bid to get back on the grid in time to finish this historic race year at Laguna Seca. “Dean wants to thank everyone for the countless get-well cards and best wishes,” says M Racing Team Manager David M’greene. “He looks forward to seeing you at the track.”
