Matsushima Suzuki’s Danny Eslick and Garrett Carter will not race in Formula Xtreme and will focus on the Supersport class this weekend at VIRginia International Raceway. Matsushima Suzuki Team Co-owner Grant Matsushima said the move was due to budget issues. Eslick is seventh and Carter is 10th in the Formula Xtreme Championship point standings coming into VIR, in spite of riding Supersport-spec GSX-R600s in the class all year. Matsushima Suzuki had a rough weekend at the last round of the series. Carter crashed in the FX race at mid-Ohio and suffered a concussion that kept him out of the Supersport event. Eslick finished seventh in FX but crashed out of the Supersport race. Eslick is ninth and Carter is 14th in the Supersport Championship point standings. Matsushima Suzuki’s third rider, Chris Siebenhaar is racing in both Formula Xtreme and Supersport at VIR.
