AMA Pro Superbike Racer Dean Mizdal and Partners Open M Racing Performance in Glendora July, 2008, Glendora, CA – Two-wheel tuning is both an art and a passion for professional AMA superbike racer Dean Mizdal and two-wheel tuner David M’greene. Their passion, dedication and expertise is why M Racing Performance is quickly establishing itself as a reputable business specializing in all aspects of performance tuning on all types of motorcycles””and a race team to beat. Frustrated by the lack of racing support and diminishing quality of service at the shop they previous worked at together, Mizdal and M’greene decided to open a shop of their own. So, with the support of friend and fellow bike enthusiast Shoji Kiriyama (aka “the owner”), M Racing Performance opened in November of last year. M Racing Performance, located at 611 East Route 66 in Glendora, CA, is a full-service facility with the tools and experience to provide Dyno tuning, suspension tuning, maintenance, crash repair, race prep, OEM and after-market parts, performance specialty work and restoration. The team attends one track day every couple of months where they provide trackside support and coaching to both novices and racers. “Our goal was to create a performance-oriented shop where the customers and supporters could feel like they were part of what was going on,” said David M’greene, M Racing’s Operations Manager. We have arranged the shop and our program around minimizing the smoke and mirrors. There are no gurus here, only a dedicated and experienced team.” No pro superbike racer works harder than Dean Mizdal””AMA racing’s most renowned privateer. He began riding motorcycles as a pre-teen, and has been racing for 24 years. Being a privateer means having to do the work yourself””from getting to each race to building a fast engine. Mizdal–who also lives in Glendora–became an expert at crafting engines and building bikes, so he started building them for other riders to fund his career. Dean’s motors are highly sought after by riders in AMA, WERA, AFM, and WSMC. M Racing Performance’s customer base consists of all types of riders””everything from the hardest veteran racers to the grizzliest bikers. We cater to pro-level racers just as easily as we cater to Harley Davidson riders, or dirt bike riders. “Nothing is more telling of our versatility than a trip through our parking lot, where Harley Davidsons sit next to high-dollar Ducati sport bikes and MX dirt bikes. Regardless of make, model or style, performance is what we are about, and performance is what we deliver.” The flipside of M Racing is its support as a team for Dean Mizdal in the AMA National Superbike race series. “The shop is inseparable from the race effort and vice versa,” M’greene explains. In addition to AMA, M Racing supports several local club racers contesting WERA, AFM, CCS and WSMC. “We offer trackside coaching, suspension set-up and performance tuning to our customers who race.” The M Racing staff also supports its customers at track days, offering both technical advice and riding instruction for novices and racers alike. “We’re working on the development of a new generation of talented riders, and we’re helping to get more and more enthusiasts off the road and onto the track where their performance tuned machinery can truly be appreciated,” said M’greene. “We invite racers looking for support and or sponsorship to submit their racers license and resume to us for consideration.” Sponsorship packages are available for anyone interested in partnering with the M Racing team.
