Kawasaki has selected eight finalists for its “My Ninja 250R” video contest. These eight video submissions are now posted for public review on Kawasaki.com. Hundreds of original submissions were judged based on creativity, originality, and overall impact. One might think submissions for a Ninja 250R video contest would focus on one or two simple themes, like: “My bike gets great mileage!” or “My 250R handles so well; my friends can’t keep-up in the corners!” Those themes did in fact surface in the majority of contest submissions. However, Ninja 250R riders also sent stories encompassing a wide variety of creative themes, including: responsible learning, transcontinental touring, betrayal, arctic adventure, David vs.Goliath, creative motorcycle shipping alternatives, and of course, the ever-popular—meaning of life. Now in the final phase of the selection process, Kawasaki will monitor the overall popularity of each of the eight “My Ninja 250R” videos now posted at Kawasaki.com. After final judging is complete, the creator of the best video will be awarded a new 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250R sportbike. The next five highest scoring video submissions will earn a replica Kawasaki racing jacket by Joe Rocket.
