TORONTO, Ont. (June 26) Following a Manufacturers’ Meeting at the offices of Yamaha Motor Canada on the morning of June 19, officials of the Parts Canada Superbike Championship have announced restrictions on the use of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) on motorcycles competing in all classes of the national series. Beginning with the second round at Calgary’s Race City Motorsports Park June 27-29, GPS may not be used on motorcycles during official qualifying sessions, Pirelli SuperPole qualifying or races. GPS can be used during practice. This decision represents the continuing efforts of series organizer Professional Motorsports Productions and the participating manufacturers to maintain a level and fair playing field in the Parts Canada Superbike Championship.
