BRAINERD, Minn. Yamaha Motor Corporation U.S.A. is the newest track sponsor at Brainerd International Raceway, track officials announced today. The agreement makes Yamaha the Official ATV and Side by Side of Brainerd International Raceway, and gives Yamaha significant exposure at the track this season through signage, product displays and PA announcements. Yamaha will also be included in BIR’s marketing materials and advertising. In addition, Yamaha will be included as sponsor of the Pro ET and Trophy Bike classes for BIR’s five-race O’Reilly Auto Parts/Snap-On Tools Bracket Drag Racing Series, which is amateur drag racing where points can earn drivers a track championship at the end of the season. “We couldn’t be more happy to have Yamaha on board with us,” said Scott Quick, BIR’s vice president of operations. “We’ve been working hard on this agreement for some time, but it was time well spent. Yamaha is such a strong brand among our racers and fan base, that their association with our track can only mean good things for us. And BIR is an excellent venue for Yamaha to have a presence. So everyone’s winning.” “We are excited to be a part of BIR, and feel this will be a strong partnership for Yamaha and our dealers,” said Jesse Henderson, regional marketing manager for Yamaha Motor Corp. Now in its 40th season, Brainerd International Raceway is one of North America’s largest racetracks, featuring a world-class quarter-mile drag strip, a three-mile, 10-turn road course, 500 acres of rustic camping, 164 full-service RV sites and 12 on-site condos. BIR will open a new 2.5-mile road course this fall. BIR is about 120 miles north of the Twin Cities. Visit www.BrainerdRaceway.com.
