Sussex, Wisc. – The Red Flag Fund Charity Golf Outing, held on June 9 at the Quit Qui Oc Golf Club in Elkhart Lake, Wisc., raised more than $8,000 to benefit seriously injured roadracers. SpeedTV’s Greg White, AMA Factory Honda Superbike racer Miguel DuHamel, Safety First Suzuki race team owner Kevin Hanson, and former Canadian and AMA superbike racer Owen Weichel were among the 50 Red Flag Fund Charity golfers who experienced a near perfect day of weather after the rainy AMA Superbike weekend at Road America. While nobody won the 2008 Buell 1125R on Quit Qui Oc’s hole number 7 as a “hole-in-one” challenge prize, plenty of hole prizes and door prizes were taken home by players for everything from the best overall score to the shortest drive. “This was a great event thanks to our sponsors, players and supporters,” said Jeff Kufalk, President Red Flag Fund. “The weather was beautiful and we all had a lot of fun chasing little white balls around the beautiful Quit Qui Oc course.” The next major fundraising event for the Red Flag Fund will be the Annual Red Flag Fund Charity Auction held August 23rd during the CCS Midwest Region and ASRA Team Challenge race weekend at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in South Beloit, Ill. The Red Flag Fund is always accepting donations for live and silent auctions, and operates solely off of the support of businesses and individuals around the world. Red Flag Fund, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable company formed to provide financial assistance to seriously injured motorcycle roadracers, as well as educate motorcycle riders on the importance of proper safety gear.
