He injured his ankle in a low-side crash at Fontana. Jason started riding at 18 months old and had an impressive career in dirt tracking winning championships along the way. In 2000 and 2001 he raced in Europe and in 2006 he was third in his first ever Daytona 200. Jason was born in Batvia, New York. He came into the season sporting a beard and the nickname Mountain Man and then shifted to a Mr T haircut recently, showing some creative marketing genius and adding to the entertainment value at the races. www.jasondisalvo.com Paul Carruthers, Editor – Cycle News Paul Carruthers has been on the staff of Cycle News for the past 23 years, the last 14 of which he has been editor of America’s Weekly Motorcycle Newspaper.
