Jason Pridmore, a former Endurance World Champion and AMA Formula Xtreme and 750cc Supersport Champion, will join the FIM Superbike World Championship full-time beginning with the FIM Superbike World Championship/AMA Superbike Championship event this weekend at Miller Motorsports Park. According to several sources, Pridmore will take the place of 20-year-old Italian Luca Morelli, who has been released from the Alto Evolution Honda team, for the remainder of the 2008 season. Pridmore has been racing a Yamaha YZF-R1 in the FIM Endurance World Championship for the Maco Moto Racing Team and has been racing in selected AMA rounds on a Bike911.com/HALOF Racing-backed Suzuki GSX-R1000. Attempts to reach Pridmore via his cell phone were unsuccessful Wednesday afternoon. The Alto Evolution Honda team is expected to make an official announcement Thursday afternoon at Miller Motorsports Park.
