Castrol Retains Title Sponsorship Of 2008/2009 New Zealand Superbike Championship

Motorcycling New Zealand’s road race commissioner Paul Stewart annouced [May 24] at MNZ’s AGM in Nelson that Castrol Oil along with Honda , Kawasaki , Suzuki and Yamaha have again take up their options to sponsor the 2009 New Zealand Superbike Road Race Championships for 2009. ” I would like to annouce today that Castrol Oil have again taken up the naming rights option to sponsor the series. Also the New Zealand Motorcycle Distributors Association have come back on board as silver level sponsors. Thank you for your confidence in us to deliver”.Stewart said in Nelson on Saturday.”With the current road race commission we have always had a policy to under promise and to over deliver, and will continue to do so as it seems to work.We will continue to foster the excellent relationship that road racing has with it’s current sponsors and look forward to working with them in 2009. We will annouce over the next few months more sponsors as they come on board.” Stewart also announced the provisional dates for the series in 2009.(these are yet to be 100% confirmed). Round 1) Ruapuna Powerbuilt Raceway – Christchurch – Meeting also doubles as New Zealand Grand Prix Jan 17-18 Round 2) Teretonga Raceway – Invercargill Jan 24-25 Round 3) Levels Raceway – Timaru Jan 31-Feb 1 Round 4) Manfeild Park Raceway – Feilding Feb 21-22 Round 5) Pukekohe or Hampton Downs – March 7-8 – Meeting also doubles as New Zealand TT.
