Milan (Italy), May 2008. Pirelli Tyre SpA announces that for logistics reasons, Pirelli motorcycle radial tires to be sold in the North American replacement channel will be manufactured solely with the markings required by local legislation. Such codes include regulated DOT markings. Starting from May 2008, to provide more consistent product identification of the motorcycle tires destined to be sold in North America, these tires will be no longer marked with the CE sign which is specific to the European markets. This change is to protect the consumer, and all tires used in any market must be purchased only through the legitimate distribution network.
