WSMC Streets of Willow Series

Rickey Herd was the big winner at the second round of the Streets of Willow series this weekend, taking wins in four races, including the headlining 650cc Superbike contest.

Riding his Kyle Racing, OFD Racing-sponsored and Michelin-shod Kawasaki ZX-6R, Herd battled to a 5.8-second win over Triumph Daytona 675-mounted Lloyd Magruder in the 650cc Superbike class, with Scott Tillery another seven seconds back.

Herd also won the Formula Two, Formula 50 and 750cc Modified Production races.

Former WSMC overall Champion Kenny Kopecky took a pair of wins aboard a Husqvarna supermotard, and David Raff, Eric Nolan, Ryan Matter, Cody Burton, Chris Yakligian and Jim Small each took a pair of wins. Another former WSMC overall Champion, Brant Wiwi, showed up halfway through the day to hand Raff his only defeat of the day, in 550cc Superbike, and Jason McCombie took the win in the club’s first SuperMotard Unlimited race.
