Lee Broadhead, Morgan Broadhead’s mother, said today that Morgan Broadhead is not ready to return to work, that his short-term memory is still lacking and that he is in no condition to receive e-mails. Morgan Broadhead is a former AMA Pro Racing employee who suffered a serious closed head injury when he crashed during a WERA race weekend at Jennings GP last September. “If you asked him what he had for lunch two hours ago he couldn’t tell you,” said Lee Broadhead. “If you talk to him about motorcycles he’s one way but if you try to talk to him about anything else it’s clear that he’s not anywhere near being ready to return to work.” Lee Broadhead objected to a Roadracingworld.com post by Michael Gougis which included a phone interview with Morgan Broadhead and a follow-up e-mail from Morgan Broadhead; Lee Broadhead demanded that the post be taken down from Roadracingworld.com, and said that she had consulted her attorney. Gougis was assigned to talk to Morgan Broadhead after Broadhead sent two unsolicited e-mails to Roadracingworld.com, one containing a press release he had written for Vesrah Suzuki, and the second inviting Roadracingworld.com to call him . When told that the Roadracingworld.com post was accurate and would not be taken down, Lee Broadhead said, “Then don’t call him again.”
