From a press release issued by WERA: At this weekend’s WERA Motorcycle Roadracing’s Round #1 of the Bridgestone National Endurance and Michelin National Challenge Sprints, WERA rider, Rory Partin, age 30, of Martinez, Georgia was involved in an incident on the first lap of the 600cc Superstock Novice race Sunday. Partin was exiting Turn 1 in the lead when his machine high sided him in front of the remaining 20 riders. His injuries were severe enough to take his life. Partin ran on Saturday in the Endurance with TVR 136, who finished 10th overall and 4th in Class. Partin started racing in May of 2005 with WERA Motorcycle Roadracing. Our prayers and thoughts are with his family and friends. More information is available here (scroll down under “Current Visitation”): ~http://www.poseyfuneralhome.com/~
