From a press release issued by WERA:

WERA Motorcycle Roadracing will host Round #1 of the National Challenge Series, featuring the Bridgestone/WERA National Endurance and the Michelin National Sprint Series on March 14, 15, 16 at Roebling Road Raceway in Faulkville, Georgia. Look for last year’s Endurance Champs, Vesrah Suzuki, with John Jacobi, Tray Batey and Mark Junge to defend their championship. Challenging them will be Brand X, with riders Ben Walters, Brett Champagne and Tripp Nobles. The Mediumweight Superbike Class will be heavily challenged with Wikle Racing returning with the entire Wikle racing family as well as Ryan O’Donnell and Zyvax Racing looking to take that Mediumweight Superbike Title in 2008 with J.B. and Scott Layman and Steve Green doing the riding chores. Mediumweight and Heavyweight Superstock Classes will also see some new teams looking for the Class Championship in 2008 and Ghetto Customs comes back to defend their Lightweight Superbike Title and see if they can get a threepeat!

On Sunday the sprint riders take the track and Seth Starnes, James Chance, Tim Hunt, Daniel Parkerson, Dane Westby, Robert Jensen, Zac Chapman, Heath Cope, the Sassaman and Wikle brothers all return for some stout competition.

The Endurance will begin at 11:00am and run for four hours. Sprint racing starts at noon on Sunday. Roebling Road Raceway is located just outside of Savannah, Georgia. Camping is available at the facility and kids under 12 are free. For further information check the web at www.wera.com.
