From a press release issued by Airfence Safety Systems: Airfence Safety Systems of Australia, manufacturers of soft wall safety barriers, is pleased to announce a new, permanent North American operation located in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Airfence North America was established to provide consistent customer service and dramatically reduce the production lead times for our safety barriers. “It has never been easy to serve the needs of the North American market from Australia. Now we can respond to new and existing customer needs much more effectively. With this new operation, what used to take months will now just take a few weeks or less.” said Airfence Safety Systems’ Director Andy Coffey. “With the new Airfence North America facility , we can maintain an inventory of both completed Airfence Inflatable and Airfence Bike (non-inflatable) safety systems as well as their repair components. Airfence Safety Systems has recently developed and received FIM homologation of its newest FIM Type A soft wall barriers, the Airfence Bike Evo and Airfence Bike Evo-High. These newest non-inflatable systems implement improvements learned over the past 10 years of producing non- inflatable systems. They are safer, stronger, easier to deploy and store, providing years of care-free safety performance. “Most racetracks are designed for multiple users. Walls that might provide greater safety for cars may prove to be incredibly dangerous for motorcycle users. “ said Tyson Silva, President of Airfence North America. “Sometimes it just isn’t possible to increase run off or move those walls. Airfence Safety Systems provide economical solutions to these areas.” Airfence North America will work with riders, clubs, tracks and promoters to increase safety at all levels of our sport. Airfence North America’s new operation located at 6510 SW Rosewood, Lake Oswego, Oregon 97035 will be open in Mid April. So if you have safety concerns for your local track contact Tyson through www.airfence.com or email [email protected].
