From a press release issued by HALOF Racing: After a very successful weekend of CCS racing at Daytona, HALOF Racing believes they are ready to contend the AMA Superstock Championship. New rider Hawk Mazzotta had the opprotunity to test the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 3 times at California Speedway and is quickly coming to terms with his new ride for the year. Running 2 races during CCS Hawk managed to hold the lead in both races finishing 5th in one event and 3rd in the other. “The HALOF Racing, Spectrum Motorsports, Bravo Condoms, Suzuki GSX-R 1000 is very fast”, says the delighted Mazzotta. “It has taken me a little while to get use to it but it is coming. I cant thank team owner Rodney Rayborne enough for believing in me and giving me the chance to race for HALOF Racing, its going to be a great year and Im looking for many good finishes. My crew chief Jeremy Daniel has the bike working good and with more practice we will be able to make it better.” HALOF Racing is excited about their second full season of racing and hope to build on their first year success. After collecting 1 podium finish in 2007 and a 5th place finish in the championship they have some large goals to achieve. “With 2007 being our first full year of racing I think we did a great job and I look forward to an awesome 2008”, says Rayborne. “I believe we have put all the right people in the right places and have been given the support we need to race in 2008.
