Investor Named CEO And President Of High Rock Raceway

From a press release issued by High Rock Raceway: Spencer, North Carolina — High Rock Raceway is pleased to announce that Richard F. Combs has agreed to become a significant investor in High Rock and will join the Raceway’s senior management team as President and Chief Operating Officer. “We couldn’t be more pleased to welcome Rich to High Rock and have him become a key member of our team” said David L. Risdon, CEO of the Raceway. “Rich has made a significant investment in High Rock that will allow us to close on our $30 million project financing within the next eight to ten weeks. Rich has for over twenty-five years owned and managed a very successful business and for over fifteen years has been an avid road racer. He will be a tremendous asset to High Rock” said Risdon. Mr. Combs is a director of First Charter Bank, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina and in 1978 he founded Pureflow Ultraviolet, Inc., an industrial ultraviolet technology application company. In 2001, Mr. Combs sold Pureflow Ultraviolet to a Canadian-based subsidiary of Danaher Corporation. Mr. Combs has obtained National and Professional racing licenses and qualified for the SCCA National Championships three times. He was also a charter member and regular participant in the Shelby CanAm Pro Racing Series. “My wife Colleen and I are excited to move up to North Carolina from our current home north of Atlanta. I look forward to becoming involved in the day-to-day management of this project and the continuing success of the business once the track is completed” said Mr. Combs. High Rock Raceway is a 2.15 mile road course located adjacent to Interstate 85 just forty minutes north of Charlotte. The track, designed by world-renowned road racer Elliott Forbes-Robinson, is forty feet in width and has ten successive changes in elevation of from thirty to sixty feet. High Rock plans to open late in 2008 and will host both amateur and professional car and motorcycle race events. The Raceway is offering to track members 120 trackside townhome “Race Condos”, approximately 90 of which have been reserved.
