Lucas Oil Indy Mile Dirt Track On MotoGP Weekend Will Be Televised On Versus Channel

From a press release issued by The Promotion Company: Lucas Oil Indy Mile AMA Flat Track Grand National Event will be Telecast Nationwide on Versus. The Lucas Oil Indy Mile AMA Flat Track Grand National will return the “crown jewel” of AMA Flat Track racing to Indianapolis on September 13th. The Lucas Motorsports Hour will feature the race. (INDIANAPOLIS) The name-in-title sponsor of the AMA Flat Track Grand National motorcycle race returning to the Indy Mile on Saturday, September 13, 2008 will be the Lucas Oil Company. The Lucas Oil sponsorship of the long-awaited race on the legendary one-mile dirt oval at the Indiana State Fairgrounds will also make possible a rare televised appearance of flat track racing on national television. Coverage of the Lucas Oil Indy Mile Flat Track Grand National will be shown via tape-delay on the Versus channel as part of the Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour series that airs weekly from March through December. The event, held in conjunction with the inaugural Red Bull Indianapolis GP Moto GP weekend, will be Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 4:00pm to 10:00pm at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, 1202 E. 38th St. in Indianapolis. The telecast is tentatively set for October 4th. The Lucas Oil Indy Mile AMA Flat Track Grand National returns the “crown jewel” of the American Motorcyclist Association’s oldest and most traditional professional racing series to Indianapolis, the Racing Capital of the World. Coincidentally, Indianapolis will also open the magnificent new “Lucas Oil Stadium”, new home of the Colts in 2008. Bob Patison, vice-president of Lucas Oil commented on his company’s commitment to the race and telecast: “We are pleased to be the name-in-title sponsor of the Lucas Oil Indy Mile. Our involvement is great platform to help launch our Lucas Oil High Performance Motorcycle Oil.
