More On 2008 Suzuki Contingency Program

From a press release issued by American Suzuki: For ’08, Suzuki Continues to Focus on the Heart of Racing the Privateers BREA, Calif., (Feb. 6, 2008) American Suzuki Motor Corp. (ASMC) is proud to announce that its 2008 race contingency program will total almost $15 million for Supercross, Motocross, Road Racing, Drag Racing and Flat Track Racing. All Suzuki riders competing in these disciplines are eligible to earn contingency rewards. In AMA Pro Supercross and Motocross for 2008, ASMC is focusing on larger payouts for riders finishing in the eighth-through-40th positions in an effort to better assist Suzuki’s privateers. Additional events have been added to the Amateur Motocross program, with contingency available at more than 500 national events. The 2008 ASMC contingency program began November 1, 2007, and ends October 31, 2008. “American Suzuki prides itself on staying in touch with racers and continually making adjustments that best suit the racers’ needs,” said Pat Alexander, ASMC Sports Promotions Manager. “From our legendary GSX-R Cup Challenge to being the first company to pay cash contingency to professional racers, Suzuki strives to give the best support possible to all Suzuki racers.” Racers participating in the program will receive a 2008 contingency card and automatic deposits will be made to the card as racers earn money throughout the year. Amateur and Pro riders may use their card at any authorized Suzuki dealership, as well as anywhere Visa is accepted.
