Californians Matt and Davie Sadowski both crashed out of the 600 Sports Production race in the opening round of the New Zealand Superbike Championships at Ruapuna Park Raceway near Christchurch, New Zealand on Sunday. Before he crashed, Matt Sadowski set a new class lap record at 1:33.970. The Sadowski brothers rode YZF-R6 Yamahas fielded by Bernard Racing. Dennis Charlett started from pole position and won the race on a Triple R Suzuki Racing GSX-R600.
