In late 2006, shortly after the loss of Chris Stevenson, fellow racer and board member, Dennie Huff (administrator) of www.R6Messagenet.com decided to start raising funds to make a yearly donation to the Roadracing World Action Fund. Through the collective efforts of the R6messagnet staff, members, and sponsors the internet forum raised $1600 for 2007. These funds were raised by individual donations from the forum members, raffles, and advertisement. The R6messagenet would like to thank its members who were kind enough to make a donation as well as Todd Robinson from www.Calsportbike.com, who was instrumental in helping with raffle prizes and ideas. “For 2008 the R6messagenet will continue its fund raiser in hopes to top 2007. We want to do what we can to make the sport that we love as safe as possible,” said Dennie Huff. Dwayne Murphree, one of the site moderators, said, “I’m so proud of the efforts everyone here at the R6Messagenet has put forth to make our sport safer. Chris was always concerned with rider safety and the AFF is an excellent way we can contribute to make our local tracks safer.” Join us at www.R6Messagenet.com to make 2008 the best year yet!
