On Monday, November 29, 2007 at around 2:00 a.m., a company in our industrial complex went up in flames. They were a printing and packaging company. It totally destroyed most of their unit adjoining our shop, causing extensive smoke damage and structural damage to a common cinder block wall in our shop. On the bright side we were in the process of moving out and only our machinery , workbenches and toolboxes were covered in soot and some water damage. We are moving into our new location at 2448 E. Oakton St., Arlington Heights, IL 60005 starting tomorrow and should be up and fully operational by December 7th. Our Phone lines have been down and will be working on Tuesday, December 4th. Thankfully this happened when no one was in the building and there were no injuries. Please contact us with any questions at (847) 357-1319 or [email protected] after December 4th if you have any questions Jim Rashid 4&6 Racing More, from a press release issued by Safety First Racing: Safety First Racing was fortunate enough to escape serious damage from an early Monday morning fire. The adjoining printing company in the industrial complex occupied by Safety First Racing suffered extensive damage in the fire. “I was awakened by a phone call at 2:25 a.m. from the landlord stating the building was on fire and I needed to get to my shop! Not exactly the way I wanted to wake that up that morning,” commented Hanson. “I’m just glad no one was injured and we only suffered smoke damage and have soot all over everything. I had a bunch of new shop equipment ordered that thankfully hadn’t arrived yet,” explained Hanson. Safety First Racing will be moving to a new temporary location at 1001 Nicholas Blvd. Unit M, Elk Grove, IL 60007. The new address is approximately one mile away and we will be back up and running by December 4th. Team owner, Kevin Hanson, can temporarily be reached at (217) 493-3811 or [email protected] while our phone lines and computer systems are restored. After December 4th, please contact us at (847) 357-1309 or visit our website at www.safetyfirstracing.com
