AMA Road Racing Manager Morgan Broadhead has been airlifted from a hospital in Gainesville, Florida to a hospital in Utah via a medical transport plane. Broadhead was injured September 28 when he crashed in a 750cc Superstock qualifying session during a WERA/AMA National Challenge Series weekend at JenningsGP in Jennings, Florida. More, from a press release issued by AMA Pro Racing: AMA RACING’S MORGAN BROADHEAD RELOCATED PICKERINGTON, Ohio (November 12, 2007) AMA Road Racing Manager Morgan Broadhead has been relocated to the University of Utah Medical Center’s Rehabilitation Ward to continue his recovery from injuries sustained while practicing for the WERA/AMA National Challenge Series at Jennings GP in Jennings, Fla., on Friday, Sept. 28. This according to his mother, Lee Broadhead. Ms. Broadhead remains very upbeat about Morgan’s progress and reports that he is receiving one-on-one treatment from a variety of specialists including physical, speech and occupational therapists. Broadhead suffered a head injury, a broken left forearm and broken left wrist. As part of his treatment Morgan was placed in an induced coma. Initially hospitalized at Shands at the University of Florida, in Gainesville, Fla., Morgan has been making steady improvement over the weeks since he was injured. Ms. Broadhead said that she and her family continue to be pleased with the improvement Morgan is showing and welcomes cards and letters to the address below.
