Cypress California, August 29, 2007 – Australian Superbike Champion Jamie Stauffer is set for his AMA Superstock debut at the upcoming Road Atlanta and Laguna Seca rounds. Stauffer is the reigning 2007 Australian Superbike Champion following a successful defense of his 2006 Australian Superbike title. In addition he is the 2006 Australian Supersport Champion. He will be riding a Yamaha Motor Australia YZF-R1 specifically prepared to conform to AMA Superstock rules with engine and chassis setup similar to that of Australia’s current Superbike specifications. “We are excited to have Jamie on board for the next two rounds and welcome his insight and experience” said Yamaha Factory Racing Team Manager Tom Halverson. “He is a proven champion who we feel can be immediately competitive on the Superstock YZF-R1.” Look for Jamie on the #727 YZF-R1 alongside the Graves Yamaha of Ben Bostrom at these next two rounds.
