The following temporary changes will take place to the timetable for the GP Cinzano di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini. Owing to the fact that the host Misano circuit is making a return to the MotoGP calendar for the first time since 1993, and with a much-modified layout, on the Friday there will be extra practice time for all three categories. An extra hour of free practice time will be given to those riders competing in the MotoGP category (16.15-17.15), whilst the 250cc and 125cc categories will see their free practice sessions extended by 30 and 15 minutes respectively. This extra time is customary at new additions to the World Championship, and has been implemented previously in first-time visits to tracks in China, the United States of America and Turkey. As a result of this change, Race Direction have also informed MotoGP teams that a modification will apply to the 2007 tyre regulations for the MotoGP race at Misano. An extra 1 front and 2 rear tyres will be available for riders running Bridgestone and Michelin rubber over the entire race weekend (15 fronts and 19 rears in total). As has been the case since the start of the season, Dunlop will have no tyre limit to which to adhere.
