FIM Latin American and FMV Venezuelan Superbike Champion Robertino Pietri was 15th fastest on his Superstock bike in AMA Superbike qualifying Friday afternoon at VIR, turning a 1:28.153. In Friday-morning Superbike practice, Pietri was 16th fastest at 1:28.203. In Friday morning Superstock practice, Pietri was 9th fastest at 1:28.436, riding his Suzuki GSX-R1000 on Pirelli tires. Colombian Santiago Villa was 23rd fastest in Superbike qualifying at 1:33.135 and 23rd in Superbike practice at 1:33.908, on his Suzuki GSX-R1000 fitted with Dunlop tires. Colombian Martin Cardenas was 9th fastest in AMA Formula Xtreme qualifying Friday afternoon at 1:28.760 aboard his Suzuki GSX-R600 on Pirelli tires. In Friday morning FX practice Cardenas was 12th fastest at 1:29.566. Former FMV Venezuelan Superbike Champion Fernando Amantini qualified 17th fastest in Formula Xtreme qualifying at 1:30.075 aboard his Kawasaki ZX-6R on Dunlop tires. Amantini was 16th fastest in FX practice at 1:30.740.
