Daytona 200 winner, Steve Rapp, among racing celebrities who will attend the August 1 track day. Riders of Kawasaki (ROK™) will hold the third of a series of planned track days at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, OH, August 1. The full-day riding and instructional experience is highlighted by the participation of Daytona 200 winner, Steve Rapp, as well as other motorcycle competition superstars. The program, which is administered by SportbikeTrackTime.com, includes novice, intermediate and advanced level classroom instruction, and is open to ROK members and Kawasaki owners, with all street legal motorcycles welcome. Some of the participants will win an opportunity to ride around the famed Mid-Ohio circuit on the back of Rapp’s Ninja® ZX™-10R. ROK’s last sponsored track day was held in early July at Road America, Elkhart Lake, Wis. Attendees added to their instruction and fun on the track by engaging in one-on-one conversations with Rapp and fellow racers Gary Nixon, Jimmy Filice, and Elena Myers, the 13-year-old Northern California road racer who is making a mark for herself. The Mid-Ohio racing circuit has been a regular stop on both the motorcycle and auto racing schedules. The 2.4-mile course is centrally located within a few hours distance of a large population base, including many ROK members and Kawasaki owners. “These exclusive track days are a great opportunity for ROK members and other Kawasaki owners to participate in a very special riding environment,” said Kawasaki’s Derek Natvig. “The active participation of various racing personalities adds another level of excitement to a day that is already quite full,” he said.
