Celtic Racing Yamaha’s Chaz Davies has been drafted into service by the Pramac Ducati MotoGP team at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Davies, a four-year veteran of World Championship racing, is riding Alex Hofmann’s Bridgestone-shod Ducati GP07 in Friday afternoon’s MototGP practice. Hofmann suffered a broken left hand when he was collected by crasher Sylvain Guintoli in Friday morning MotoGP practice at Laguna Seca. No formal announcement had been made by Pramac Ducati at post time.
