Six times World Champion Jim Redman was today inducted into the prestigious MotoGP Hall of Fame on the eve of the Alice Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland at the Sachsenring circuit. The 75 year old from Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) won the 350cc title for four consecutive seasons and held the 250cc crown on two occasions over the course of his illustrious Grand Prix career, winning all six World Championships onboard Honda machinery. Another historic milestone achieved by Redman was his becoming the first rider to win three races in a single day at the 1964 Dutch TT. At the pinnacle of his career Redman also took 6 victories at the Isle of Man TT to add to his 45 Grand Prix race wins in 125cc, 250cc, 350cc and 500cc.
