July 12th, 2007, Portland Oregon: EDR Performance is pleased to announce a partnership agreement with Canadian AMA roadracer Misti Hurst. Hurst will compete in three upcoming rounds of the AMA series in both the Supersport and Formula Extreme Classes aboard two EDR Performance prepped 2007 Kawasaki ZX6R’s. This is Hurst’s 4th year in roadracing and only her second on a 600. In May of this year she competed in her first ever AMA event at Infineon Raceway and surprised many by qualifying for the super competitive grid on a stock machine. She is currently the only female coach with the California Superbike School where she travels to more than 70 school track dates at over 14 different racetracks in the United States and is also a freelance writer for several motorcycle magazines. “We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with Misti.” said Eric Dorn of EDR Performance. “She has an awesome personality and will bring some very positive attention to the sport. I have known Misti since 2002 when she first began racing her SV 650 in WMRRA and OMRRA events and am very impressed with how quickly she has worked her way to the very top. We are looking forward to following up the rest of the season with Misti as part of our team.” EDR Performance is the Pacific Northwest’s premier motorcycle performance center. In 2006 they took the #1 plate for WMRRA, set 3 land speed records, and added several class championships to their already impressive list of over 80. EDR Performance built and tuned bikes have won races in local, regional, and national competition, as well as having competed internationally. Hurst’s next AMA event is round 8 at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course of which Dorn plans to attend in order to offer trackside support. “This will mark the first time that Misti has ever ridden a bike with engine modifications,” explained Dorn “and I think that being trackside would be a big help. That way Misti can just concentrate on what she does best, racing!”
