Torrance, Calif.”” American Honda Motor Company is pleased to announce that the 14th Annual Honda Hoot in Knoxville, Tennessee, June 20-23, was a resounding success. “With nearly 17,000 attendees from 46 states and five Canadian provinces, this was one of the best Hoots ever,” said Honda Rider’s Club of America Manager Bill Savino. “The weather was great with very little humidity and our host city, Knoxville, rolled out the red carpet for all of us, our attendees and our vendors. We can’t wait to come back next year.” Winner of the Closing Ceremony Grand Prize Drawing was Dale Yager, who selected a Honda Gold Wing. Prizes totaling more than $35,000 were given away to participants. This year’s highlights included a host of new rides on some of the best roads in the country, Bike Night at the World’s Fair Park, the HRCA Members-Only luncheon and performance at the Crossville Cumberland Playhouse, a Back to the ’50s Party and Knoxville Icon Contest, a Bush Beans factory tour in Chestnut Hill, fireworks show featuring a number of original rockets never before seen, and the Knoxville Ride for Kids benefiting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
