Two weeks behind the dramatic accident on the flooded track of Silverstone, where during the Sunday morning warm up session Gianluca Nannelli crashed slipping under the airfence protection, clearly not installed according to safety rules, the Florentine rider is hardly working for his personal battle to rejoin the racing arena. After a long series of medical controls with the best surgery specialists and, mainly, with the Clinica Mobile’s medical staff managed by doctor Claudio Costa, Gianluca is strived with might and main for severe physiotherapy sessions, hoping to avoid an immediate surgery operation for rebuilding the broken ligaments of the left knee, an operation that could mean the end of 2007 sporting season, during witch Nannelli was confirming himself as one of the World Supersport protagonists, scoring the fourth ranking in the championship standing at the moment of the accident. Meanwhile the team ownerStefano Caracchi is looking, to respect the sponsor’s agreements , for a substitute rider on the very fast Nannelli’s 749R Ducati in the next World Supersport round at Misano Adriatico. At Misano will be present Gianluca Nannelli too for supporting the team friends and for a further control with the Clinica Mobile’s medical staff to look for the chance to a quick return on the saddle in the next World Supersport rounds.
