KTM North America Breaks Ground On New Parts Distribution Facility In Ohio

Amherst, OH — KTM North America held their official groundbreaking ceremony to launch the construction of the new North American Parts Distribution Facility on May 15. The ceremony took place outside their current North American headquarters on Milan Avenue in Amherst. Master of Ceremonies was Jon-Erik Burleson, President of KTM North America. Present were KTM North America staff of approximately 100 employees. The list of participants in addition to Burleson consisted of KTM CEO, Stefan Pierer; KTM CFO, Patrick Kruger; KTM Managing Director of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Hubert Trunkenpolz; Vice President of KTM North America, Jakob Branner; KTM North America Vice President of Finance, Darin Gillis; Amherst Mayor, David Taylor; and local racing and KTM legend, John Penton. Their comments referred to the importance of this facility for KTM North America and the exciting future this building will provide for the company. Plans call for a 50,000-square-foot addition to the present three buildings, which total 53,000-square-feet of distribution space, training area and accounting, sales, marketing and executive offices. KTM plans to have the newest addition up and running by January of 2008.
