James Bhathena, former owner and founder of Brighton Superbike, has sold the aforementioned race shop after years of successful racing and retail success to join a small group of investors in the newly formed Total Racing Solutions Corp.(TRS) Doing business as ‘Total Racing Solutions’ and ‘team-trs.com’ the corporation was formed to focus solely on motorcycle racing. Specifically, TRS will concentrate on chassis (suspension), race engines, team management, IT and web solutions for racers and race teams (drag and roadrace). The first step for the organization was to secure an Ohlins Certified Suspension Center. James says “I’m excited to have the opportunity to get back to being wholly focused on racing. It was hard to let go of Brighton but the growth of that business kept pushing me further into the office and farther away from the track. Racing was the reason for opening that business and in some strange twist of fate also the reason for selling it. At TRS I will be able to get back to full time racing. That’s what I’m good at and that’s what I love. Apparently the idea has some merit because before we could finish the basic organizational set-up stuff we’ve been overrun with work.” TRS has a web site http://www.totalracingsolutions.com, which is informative but not yet fully complete. They are looking for comments from racers, and adding their goods and services as quickly as possible.
