Racing 2 Save Lives Returns to Miller Motorsports Park This Weekend TOOELE VALLEY, UTAH (May 2, 2007) “” Motorcycle enthusiasts from Utah and across the western United States will be able to ride their bikes on one of America’s most challenging racetracks, and support a worthy cause at the same time, when Racing 2 Save Lives (R2SL) returns to Miller Motorsports Park this weekend, May 3-6. R2SL is a Colorado-based, 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children’s charities by raising awareness, involvement and capital within the motorcycle racing community through donations, corporate sponsorship and fund-raising events. All profits generated by R2SL are distributed among carefully selected organizations that have a significant impact on the lives of children in need and their families. Last year, R2SL attracted a record 350 participants from 19 states, Canada and England at Miller Motorsports Park and raised $65,000, half of which was distributed through Larry H. Miller Charities, and $27,000 of which went directly to local school districts. This year’s event is open to both street and racing bikes, with separate tracks set up for each group, and represents the best value in motorcycle track time of the season at MMP. Riders interested in participating should visit the R2SL website at www.racing2savelives.org, where classes and fees are detailed. Registration will also be available at the track starting on Thursday. A number of celebrities will be present to ride and sign autographs, including AMA Pro Racing Yamaha factory riders Eric and Ben Bostrom, plus Celtic Racing’s young phenom Chaz Davies (AMA Formula Xtreme/Supersport) and 13-year-old 125GP prodigy P.J. Jacobson (USGPRU), among others. Also on hand will be Michael Czysz and his revolutionary MotoCzysz 07 C1 990, the latest development of the bike that Czysz hopes will return an American manufacturer to international road racing to compete for a World Championship. Czysz and yet-to-be-confirmed guest riders will ride the bike in selected track sessions during all four days of R2SL, which will mark the 07 C1 990’s first-ever public appearance on any circuit. Off the track, fans will be able to bid on a large number of collectible items signed by international racing stars in a silent auction that takes place from Thursday through Saturday and the Miller Kart Track will be open for kart rentals throughout the weekend. In addition, oother special festivities are being planned. R2SL executive director Stan Foxworthy explained that the four-day event is a massive undertaking. “All of our staff and the riders who participate in Racing 2 Save Lives love coming to ride at Miller Motorsports Park, which is undoubtedly the best road-racing venue in America, particularly when it serves such a good cause, but it takes a lot of hard work from a lot of people to make it happen. We also have a huge number of companies who have contributed to our effort, including Yamaha Motor Corporation, Suomy USA, XT Apparel, GP Tech, Ohlins USA, Motonation, Marasco and Associates, the Hampton Inn Tooele and the Flying J in Lake Point, plus many more who are listed on our website, and we really appreciate everybody’s support.” Tickets for Riding 2 Save Lives at Miller Motorsports Park are on sale now. Trackside Viewing tickets are priced at only $5. Tickets can be purchased at the Miller Motorsports Park Welcome Center or online at www.ticketmaster.com. As always, Trackside Viewing for children aged 12 and under accompanied by an adult is free of charge at Miller Motorsports Park.
