(BIRMINGHAM, Ala.) Barber Motorsports Park and Zoom Motorsports have hired Hardcard Holdings, a leading motorsports management and consulting firm specializing in motorcycle events, to assist in exploring the potential of adding a World Superbike race to the Barber event schedule, Zoom Motorsports President Gene Hallman announced today. “We have been considering a world championship motorcycle race here, really since day one, and building on the success of our AMA Superbike event, we felt the time was right to consider additional options that would showcase the beautiful state of Alabama, the racetrack and the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum to a greater worldwide audience,” said Hallman. Barber Motorsports Park and Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum founder George Barber has long had a vision of hosting a world championship event at Barber Motorsports Park. Famous racetracks from around the world inspired many of the design elements of the racetrack, and historical world championship machines are well represented in the museum collection. “Following a productive FIM track inspection in February, we began to look into the possibility for a potential World Superbike event and have now brought on the experts at Hardcard to advise and consult as we continue to explore if such an event could work for us,” continued Hallman. Hardcard, led by industry veterans and company co-founders Andy Leisner and John Farris, specializes in consulting, sales, marketing, media and brand management services connected to the motorsports industry. “It is really a great privilege to work with the Barber and Zoom organizations,” Farris said. “They have a breathtaking, world-class facility, and run some of the most professional motorsports events in the U.S., and we are thrilled to assist them in this endeavor.” About Barber Motorsports Park Barber Motorsports Park was created to be the home to the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum.
