Young Gun Andrew Brown Sidelined! 17 year old AMA road racer Andrew Brown will not be able to compete for at least the first two AMA rounds. “I have been riding off pace and couldn’t figure out why. I have been training hard and am excited about the 07 season. Two weeks ago at Willow Springs we were testing and after two days of hard work, we made little progress. I did not feel 100% but could not put my finger on what was wrong. In December I had a bad accident while training on my yzf 250 on the pro track at Lake Elsinore MX Park. I was found unconscious. The only thing that saved my life was my Shoei helmet. I was taken to the ER. the doctor said I suffered a severe concussion. After the Willow test we went to see neurologist Dr. R. Boutros . He found some irregularities in the CAT scan and MRI and has advised us to not ride anything for 60-90 days. Dr. Boutros commented that I might have a temporary problem with my depth perception among other issues that would make it unsafe for me to ride or race. I would like to Thank all My sponsors for their support and understanding During This Time.” Comments or concerns may be sent to [email protected]
