Woodhall Spa Superbike star Steve Plater continued his test programme with a two-day work out at Albacete in Spain with World Endurance team Kawasaki France. “I had a good test,” said Steve. “Everything went according to plan for me although my French teammate Gwen Giabbani tipped off a couple of times, but luckily he was unhurt so was able to continue. I got some decent times in over the two days, and now feel ready for the opening round of the series, which is the 24 hour race at Le Mans on April 21/22.” Prior to that Steve returns to Albacete on March 16 for a series of tests with the AIM Yamaha team with whom he will be contesting the British Superbike championship in 2007 plus the North West 200 and also the TT. The following week he moves to Le Mans for more testing with Kawasaki France on March 21/22 and then back to Snetterton the following day for the official British Superbike test weekend with AIM Yamaha. The final test for Steve will be back at Le Mans for a last minute check prior to the big race in April before a quick dash back across the channel in time for the opening round of the British Superbike championship on Easter Monday.
