After some last minute obstacles, Rhiannon Lucente, of Team West/OneFastGirl Racing, is pleased to announce her entry in the AMA Daytona 200. Also, for the 2007 season she will be teaming up with Rob Oliva under the Lithium Motorsports canopy. The program will kick off with the CCS/ASRA weekend at Daytona. The season will include select events with CCS, ASRA, CRA, WERA and AMA, with Rhiannon aboard a 2007 Suzuki GSXR 600. Considering that the season almost didn’t happen for the Team West/OneFastGirl Racing program, we would like to offer special thanks to: Robert Jensen, Rob Oliva, Matthias Schaub, Bill Syfan, Chris Jensen, Brit Lynn, Wayne Wilder, Mike Fitzgerald, Ron Wood, Scott Morse and Joe Marasco. These individuals helped make sure we had a machine to race, it was race prepped in record time, and parts were available. Rhiannon would also like to extend a special thank you to Sam West for making this opportunity available for her. More, from another press release: Nadine Lajoie, the Ontarian Champion in Women’s RACE 600 in 2006 will race at Daytona International Speedway next week-end in 3 differents classes of the CCS races. After attending the Freddie Spenser School and doing some practices at Laguna Seca, California Speedway and Jennings this winter, Nadine Lajoie is ready to attack the impressive circuit of Daytona for her first time. “There is not enough racing women and not many raced in the past with a 600CC at Daytona or other big events. Usually, women just do track days and I hope it will change very soon”, she said. With her 2005 Honda CBR 600RR sponsored by Honda/Xtra-Sharp/Suomy/Importations Thibault, she wants to prove the level of Canadian women after only 3 years of racing in the Women’s Cup Challenge Pro Honda Oil. She is now racing also with the guys and overall finished 7th in regional RACE 600 and 19th in Canadian Nationals with Parts Canada. All informations on www.nadineracing.com
