My trailer was stolen from its normal parking place at the side of my house, off the garage, in Goshen, Indiana yesterday, February 23. It is a 2004 Pace American 6 x 12-foot V-nose trailer, white, with larged KENWOOD decals on the nose and rear gate, and large, 6-foot-long Yoshimura decal on each side. The trailer’s doors and hitch were locked. Contents included: 2004/05 Suzuki GSX-R600 race bike AMA #811 raced in FX and Supersport, color blue and white. Bike was for sale and was only sitting on a stand so more then likely the bike fell over and sustained minor damage. Yamaha 1000-watt generator Tire warmers Complete full race Yosh Titanium TRS exhaust EZ-Up 6×6 canopy Baby stroller Miscellaneous tie downs, extension cords, and 2 sets of Dunlop race tires. Please contact the Goshen, Indiana Police Dept withany info regarding this theft, 574-533-4151 Thank You, Mike Morgan Goshen, Indiana 312-925-8294 And now, some reader reaction: FIRST PERSON/OPINION Via e-mail: We do a lot of work on police bikes at Advanced Kawasaki, and I questioned an officer on how to make your trailer harder to steal (this same officer had his enclosed trailer stolen out of his driveway). A couple of things he told me were, paint your initials or somet other character(s) on top of the trailer, so it’s easy to spot from a helicopter, and run a cable lock through the wheels and leaf springs if possible. Another one I notice out here in California, is CalTrans jacking up their trailers and removing the wheels when they’re leaving them out in the open. Kevin Jump Buena Park, California
