Albuquerque, NM The SMRI is excited to announce the 2007 Event Calendar. New for 2007, the Southwest Vintage Cup which is a partnership between Roadracing Southwest CCS and the SMRI for a 4 race series. Returning in 2007 the New Mexico State Championship Series, this is a four race series between ASMA and the SMRI and is open to all riders. Last year Ray Thornton surprised Ivan Garza to claim the $1,000.00 pay out and become the inaugural #1 plate holder. In 2007, more local area riders will take aim at that cash purse and the #1 plate. April 21st & 22nd Albuquerque, NM May 5th & 6th Albuquerque, NM June 23rd & 24th Albuquerque, NM July 14th & 15th * Albuquerque, NM August 4th & 5th * Albuquerque, NM October 6th & 7th Albuquerque, NM * New Mexico State Championship event and Southwest Vintage Cup event to be held in concert with an SMRI race weekend The following are Track days that are open to the public to be held at Sandia Motorsports Park.
