AMA Pro Racing has issued a trio of road racing Competition Bulletins dated January 22. The first allows all AMA licensed riders to participate in Thursday practice, eliminating the ban on ill-defined “factory riders;” sets the pit-road maximum speed at 50 mph for all events, including Daytona; and requires primary and spare racebikes to be marked as such before tech inspection. The second allows the use of a single number on the front and rear of motorcycles with large ram-air ducts and low profile tailsections. The third deals with the new ride-through penalty.
