Motorcycle SUPERSHOW’s New Layout Delights Toronto Showgoers Wednesday, January 24, 2007 (Toronto) The continent’s largest and most comprehensive motorcycle show, the North American International Motorcycle SUPERSHOW, came to Toronto at the beginning of the month. The show, now in its 31st year, continued to welcome great audiences of motorcycle enthusiasts, seeing more than 55,000 visitors during its three day run. Over 400 exhibitors and four huge Accessory Superstores guaranteed visitors found everything they need for the 2007 riding season all under one roof. Feedback from visitors to the SUPERSHOW indicates a strong positive response to the new, larger format, especially the layout of the seven individual halls, each having its own theme. With Hall 1 and 2 dedicated to Touring & Cruisers, Halls 3 and 3A as Industry Showcases, Hall 4’s Racing & Performance theme, Hall 4A’s focus on Classics & Vintage and Hall 5’s extraordinary Chopper & Custom Bike Showcase, there was something for everyone at this year’s SUPERSHOW. Wider, carpeted aisles throughout all the seven halls also made for a more comfortable journey through the 425,000 square feet of exhibits at the Toronto International Centre. American Thunder’s Michele Smith wowed guests with her fabulous smile and outgoing personality, taking time for photo and a few words with every fan and show off her personally designed Jewel G’s and tattoo shirts that were a hit with the growing numbers of women visiting the Show. Also, female racer Vicki Gray was a huge hit, promoting her new company Motoress, the goal of which is to provide resource, training and advocate for females in all diversities of motorcycling. The Canada Cup Championships saw more than 200 showbikes competing for a jackpot of $50,000. First Place in the Pro Builders Class went to Michael Long of Zeel Design in St-Pierre, Quebec for his fabulous ‘Bulldog’ custom. As Best Bike in Show, he took home $12,000 cash, a six foot trophy and the Canada Cup for the finest showbike in the nation. Long dominated the awards, as he also won second place for his Biker Build Off winning ‘Bobster’ creation, with an additional $7,000 in prize money. Hall 5 featured the best of the best in bike building with custom motorcycles from across Canada as well as U.S. entries from New York, Michigan, Pennsylvania and California. Established in 1976, the SUPERSHOW is North America’s largest consumer motorcycle show. Produced by Bar Hodgson Productions Inc, the SUPERSHOW is dedicated to presenting the finest the motorcycle industry has to offer for every type of motorcycle enthusiast, in seven halls of the Toronto International Centre. Show dates for 2008 are January 4th 6th at the Toronto International Centre.
