December 18, 2006 The California Superbike School has just released the official 2007 schedule which includes an incredible 80 school days at 12 different racetracks nationwide. Opened in 1980, the California Superbike School and its curriculum has become the benchmark for schools in 10 countries. Operated by the USA, United Kingdom and Australian branches, the list of countries is growing every year. “Last year alone we had a 30% increase in school dates and students.” says Keith Code, director of the school. “Riders are hungry to become better, faster and more confident with their riding.” Despite the name “superbike” in the title, the California Superbike School is not just for racers or sportbike riders. “Riders of all abilities and on all types of motorcycles are welcome.” explains Code. “Whether you have been riding for 4 months or 40 years, on a cruiser or a sportbike, the California Superbike School can help you become a better rider.” In 2007 the California Superbike School will visit 12 different tracks including the famed Laguna Seca, Barber Motorsports Park, Virginia International Raceway, Millar Motorsports Park, and Mid Ohio Sports Car Course along with others throughout the USA. Code, who also authored the well known series of books on riding techniques including Twist of the Wrist I and II and the Soft Science of Roadracing accompanies his well trained team of riding coaches and superbike school staff to almost all of the events where he teaches the classroom seminars and is often seen on track with the students. “I suppose I’m most happy with the fact that whenever a rider comes to the Superbike School they can be assured of improvement.” he says. We’ve refined the curriculum and trained our teams to the point where a substantial result can be achieved with 99.5% of all the riders who come to us for coaching, we actually guarantee it! Riders keep coming back to us, in fact, we have a 70% return rate of riders going up through our 4 levels of training.” The school has been carefully organized into four levels that include a series of fundamental techniques. Each level is approached using their refined step by step training. Improvement is assured throughout this series of fundamental and advanced techniques. Students learn the techniques in the classroom seminars and then have the opportunity to practice them during their on track riding sessions. Student to coach ratio is 2 to 3 students per coach so personal attention and feedback are of paramount importance.
