Ice patches on pit lane and the track have melted and the ambient temperature has risen to a balmy 39 degrees F as practice continues for the final WSMC race weekend of the year, at Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, California. But there’s a brisk headwind in infamous turn eight, which translates into a crosswind on the front straight and a tailwind into turn three. On track, it’s cold! But not as cold as it was when the first round of practice started… And it’s clear, with no sign of the rain that fell late in the day on Saturday and into the night.
